There are 3 common cases when foreigners enter Vietnam during the Covid epidemic prevention and control period, including:
+ Having a valid temporary residence card, labor visa, visa for visiting relatives and working in Vietnam.
+ Having a valid Vietnam work permit.
+ Not having Vietnam work permit, temporary residence card or visa.
Accordingly, each case will have a different visa validity period when carrying out procedures for entry into Vietnam, specifically:
+ If the foreigner has a valid temporary residence card and visa (code: LĐ, TT, ĐT) and is approved, the foreigner will be granted a visa with the same validity period as his/her current visa and stay in Vietnam within the duration prescribed by the visa
+ In case the foreigner has a valid Vietnam work permit: he/she can apply for entry into Vietnam and visa stamp for the right purpose for a maximum validity period of 01 year or according to the validity period of his/her current work permit (if the remaining validity period of Vietnam work permit is less than 01 year).
+ Not having Vietnam work permit, temporary residence card or visa: foreigners applying for business visas with code of DN (experts) are only allowed to apply for visas with a maximum validity period of 03 months according to the policy of the Immigration Department. During this period, foreigners can apply for work permits, labor visas and labor temporary residence cards.
